The Friends Group were successful in bidding for a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund to develop a new website and learning resource exploring the history of the River Park from a Landfill Site to the beautiful space it is today.
You can follow a unique trail based on local history and memories. A printed trail leaflet can be downloaded here
There is also an android app which provides a fascinating commentary using the voices of the people who have been involved in the history of the park including those who remember it as a huge rubbish tip!
There is also a Education Resources section where you can also download a number of interactive Education Packs making a visit to the park not only enjoyable but educational too.
